A hallmark is an official mark confirming that the Assay Office has conducted tests determining the precious metal content in the product and informing about the results of these tests.
Hallmarking Obligation
All precious metal products manufactured domestically or abroad may be admitted to commercial circulation within the country after prior examination by assay administration authorities and marking with the appropriate hallmark for the precious metal content in the alloy.
